Hello and welcome to the virtual studio of Nadia Tanguay.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to view my website and I hope you enjoy the selection of my work presented within. I was born in Sainte-Marie de Beauce (QC) in 1982 and moved to the Seba Beach area of Alberta in 2005.

Since my early childhood, art has always been a part of my everyday life. Even from a young age, I have  been captivated by the way an artist can show their feelings through art and I quickly discovered painting to be a very powerful tool to express myself.

Painting for me is like a release, a way to escape the world around me and allow those who view my work an intimate look into my soul. With the stroke of my paintbrush, I hope to give you a reflection of my emotions and feelings.

Although most of my work is abstract, I do not consider myself to have a predominant style. Abstract, however, has always given me a unique satisfaction in the way it allows emotion to capture a precise moment, and distort reality through imagination. The inspiration may come from here or elsewhere, from the earth or sky, giving me the ability to put an unconscious feeling onto canvas.
